Dancing Ketto Princess

Check out this dancing diva, she's as funky as the papers I paired her with! I normally have a very hard time using black in any card design that's not Halloween, LOL! But I forced myself to use this polka dot pattern from the new Basic Grey collection, as a challenge to myself.

I can't say I would make a card like this again, the bold colors just aren't me. But sometimes you just gotta work outside your comfort zone, shake things up a bit, to make it interesting, KWIM? And at least I have a different card in my stash for when I need it for a very different person ;-)
Thanks for looking!

  3. Beautiful! I agree that it's good to sometimes stretch ourselves and do something out of our comfort zone. It sometimes releases the mojo and gets the creative juices going.

  4. Well, I think the card is fab and I know that my tween granddaughters would go absolutely crazy over it. I often make cards for the younger set based on what they would like rather than what I would like. It's not always easy, but if the card's for them....Anyway, if I were you, I'd do it again 'cause it works!
