Lili of the Valley/ Wild Orchid Crafts Christmas in July Blog Party

Hello everyone and welcome to the party! We've partnered with Wild Orchid Crafts to showcase some of the new LOTV Christmas stamps coming out next week July 25th, 2011. Oh you are all in big trouble when you see these beauties, you may as well hand over your wallets, lol! Each stamp is more adorable than the last, and they're coming out nice and early so you have plenty of time to get started on your holiday cards. You can buy one less stamp though, if you enter for a chance to win the stamp I've used for my card. I'll explain everything at the end of my post.

I've used 'Christmas Puppy' for my card today, colored mostly in pencils but I did use some Copics too. Now that I look at him, I wish I had colored him to look like one of my Springer Spaniels Ollie, he's got that same look on his face that Ollie gets when he's waiting patiently for me to throw his ball.

How about those gorgeous roses in the swag of greenery? I've resisted buying a ton of these from WOC for a long time because I keep telling myself I have waaaay too many punches that I could use to make my own, but I don't think I can resist any longer, lol. These were actually white, because I couldn't decide which colors I would need for my card, but I actually dyed them with homemade shimmer mist. They're just gorgeous aren't they?

So here's the deal, some of the LOTV design team members will be featured on the WOC blog with more new stamps to show off. Each member of our team will have blog candy on their individual blogs and WOC will have a fantastic prize draw on July 24. So, to enter for a chance to win the stamp I've used today (Christmas Puppy) just leave your name and email address in the Inlinkz widget at the end of my blog. I will draw a winner from the list on July 24th. Only one entry per person please, duplicates will be removed.

Don't forget to leave me a comment too, what do you think about the new Christmas release? Thanks for stopping by and good luck!

Early Tuesday morning on release day (January 11th, 2011 EST) I will choose one name out of the hat to receive two stamps from the new release; 'Love is in the Little Things'

and a Molly Harrison fairy 'Candlelight'.

Lili of the Valley Blog Hop!

This week the Lili of the Valley Challenge is being combined with a Blog Hop to celebrate the Release of the Tea and Chat, Party Girls and Sentiments collections, full details of the Challenge and Blog Hop can be found on the Lili of the Valley Challenge Blog . If you have arrived here from Edna's blog you are in the right place, if not then hop over to Lili of the Valley Challenge Blog  to begin. (Nice big prize on the main blog, you do not want to miss it!)
Now down to this weeks challenge. The theme iss ANYTHING GOES. Here is the card I made for the challenge using 'Time for a cuppa'.

I used October Afternoon's Thrift Shop papers to create this card. I like the vintage feel to them. The little darling is colored with Copics. I added some ultra fine glitter to the cupcake and the tablecloth which you can see better if you click on the close up below.

You can win this stamp if you just leave a comment on this post! The winner will be announced next Thursday so you have plenty of time! Each DT member is giving away a stamp as well, so check them all out. On the main LOTV blog you can win 3 sets of circle sentiment stamps. But you have to leave a comment on every blog along the hop in order to win.
Here is the stamp you can win from my blog:

Here's a pic of the sentiment stamps you can win on LOTV blog:

The next stop on the hop is Lena Katrine's blog.  Have fun and good luck!

LOTV Challenge 66 Untraditional Christmas & a little Blog Candy!

Attention LOTV fans, I have a couple of stamps to give away because I so appreciate all my blog readers! I love reading your comments so this is my way of thanking you!
Both are brand new, unmounted rubber in clear plastic baggies. The first is called Carol Singing (click link to see image) and the second is Skating Along (which happens to be out of stock at the mo, so here's your chance to get one!). One lucky winner will be chosen on Sunday, 9-26-10 sometime before noon EST. One entry per person please, duplicate comments will be deleted. Good luck!

Now onto my regularly scheduled programming--here's my take on this week's challenge. The colors most definitely are not traditional, but because the dominant aqua is a cool color, it reminds me of ice and snow, it works for a Christmas card, I think! I ADORE this Bunny Stocking stamp, their pointy little hats with the fluffy pom poms are just so sweet!

I paper pieced the stocking with a scrap of DP from a Papertrey Ink pad and shaded around it a bit with some Copics, to give it some dimension. Of course, I had to use some Polar White Flower Soft for all the fuzzy elements, that stuff is perfect!

A little silver ribbon finishes it off perfectly, and there's an 'Untraditional' Christmas card for ya!

Pop on over to the LOTV Challenge blog for a peek at some amazing eye candy from the other talented ladies on the DT. Then make your own card using a LOTV image and enter to win a gift certificate for the store.

Thanks for visiting!

New Releases from Plum Purdy & Blog Candy!

Are you all ready for fall yet? I thought I wasn't when Renee asked me to make some samples for her, but as soon as I got those beautiful stamps in my hands I was raring to go! It was wonderful to pull out the harvest colored papers and ribbons. She's released tons of new designs for fall and Halloween, each one more fabulous than the last, LOL!
Here's a closer look at the Pumpkin Birdhouse. I colored the image in with my colored pencils and popped up the birdhouse with foam tape.
And what about this adorable Halloween card? Isn't this frog hilarious?
Renee also has a set of Halloween sentiments which I think are so much fun. Makes it so easy to add that perfect final touch.
Now here's the real fun. Renee has generously offered a $25 gift certificate for stamps from Plum Purdy, and I'm going to give it away as blog candy! Just leave a comment on this post! I will leave the contest open till midnight Sunday (7-19-2009), then Monday morning I will use Random.org to choose the winner.
Good Luck!
