After another day of snow yesterday, today was sunny and bright outdoors, so some of the light came in through the windows and helped me take a fair picture of this card. I used my new Sugar Nellie stamp that came in the mail the other day from Funky Kits in the UK. Another Elisabeth Bell image, so if you're getting sick of seeing the sugary sweet girly cards, look away now, I've got quite a bit more of these stamps! LOL. I love them though. For some reason reminds me of my chilhood years, when I was into Holly Hobbie, Precious Moments, Care Bears and Hello Kitty.
Anyway, I colored this image almost entirely with Distress Inks and a paintbrush. I love the subtle, aged colors from the Ranger Distress palette. It went perfectly with the Cosmo Cricket Biography line of papers. I made a little stick pin to go through the ribbon knot, just some paper flowers stuck onto a bent headpin, and some tiny seed beads strung onto some wire for curling little 'vines'.
Hope it inspires!
