Easter Acetate Treat Box

Hello everyone! Here's another Easter treat idea that I just love. I got the idea from Splitcoast Stamper's resources section here. This box is fairly simple to construct and it looks so cute filled with these speckled egg shaped malted milk chocolates.

I love making 3D projects, but I really, really wish I had a digital cutter. For the longest time I didn't think I needed one for card making or the few 3D crafts I make, but it suddenly occurred to me a few weeks ago. I have been spending hundreds of dollars on dies of all kinds over the years. Spellbinders labels are my favorites of course, but a close runner up are flowers, fancy curlicues, scalloped shapes...you get the idea. I've been running into these web sites that have cut files, and templates and all sorts of things for digital cutters that are very similar to the metal dies available. If I had just invested in a digital cutter instead of the dies, I could've saved myself a lot of money! Well, now I want one and I think after a lot of research, I've decided on the Gazelle. However, the price tag is a bit steep for my budget. Why am I sharing this? Well, if you have one, or know someone who does and wants to sell a gently used one, PLEASE send me an email! (Right sidebar has the link). I know it's a long shot, but hey, might as well try right?
Now onto my project:

I colored the adorable flying bunny from Lili of the Valley with my colored pencils and cut him out entirely. He was layered onto some patterned paper which was adhered to the GORGEOUS die cut from Marianne Design dies.

It's hard to see in the picture, but I made a cute little tag on the top of the box using Papertrey Ink's Tags for Spring set.

Hope you'll try this project too, it's a lot of fun! Thanks for stopping by!
